Your app’s design before it’s built

A new app starts with a couple of quick choices and pictures of its main screens. Change the design, then press Build my app.

When you start a new app, you see its design before anything is built. Before you sign up, and on a new Free account, seeing the design is free.

A couple of quick choices

The AI may ask one or two questions about the look, with small layout drawings or strips of colours to pick from.

Pick the answer that feels right, or Surprise me to let the AI choose.
Other… lets you describe what you'd like in your own words.
Press Show my design. Skipped questions count as "Surprise me".

If your request already says how the app should look and which pages it needs, the AI skips the questions.

Your design

After a short wait you see Your design: one line about the idea, the colours, the fonts and pictures of up to 4 main screens side by side. Press a picture, or View design, to see it larger.

These are pictures of the idea. Your app will follow them closely; words and small details are finished when it's built.

Change something, or build it

Change something puts "Please change the design: " in the message box. Finish the sentence and send it to get a new version. You can ask for 2 changes before building.
If a picture didn't come out, press Try this screen again.
Build my app builds the newest design.

You can make one design a day without an account. When you press Build my app, sign up free with your email, Google or GitHub, and your design comes with you. Designs that aren't saved to an account are deleted after 48 hours.

After you press Build my app

New accounts choose a plan first: Free builds this one app once for free, or choose a paid plan. On a paid plan, or if your account has build credits, building starts straight away, and each design uses a little of your build credits, like a short message.

Templates, "Claim this website" and building from AI tools skip the design and build straight away.
