What you can build
A shop of your own, with your products, your words and your look, instead of a listing on someone else’s marketplace. Because you make things in small batches, it keeps count of what is left so you never sell a candle you don’t have.
What it includes
- Product pages with photos, descriptions, sizes or scents, and prices.
- Card checkout through Stripe, paid into your own Stripe account. Prices are checked on our servers, so a customer can never change what they pay.
- Stock counts that go down with each sale and show "sold out" at zero.
- An orders page with who bought what and where to post it, behind your sign-in.
- An email to you for each new order.
- Gift notes, collections and seasonal ranges, added by chatting.
How it works
- Start from the Wick & Willow template, or describe your shop and what you make on our home page.
- Change anything by chatting: "add a Christmas collection", "offer gift wrapping for £3", "show new products first".
- Press Launch to put it online at a free
<name>.typeanapp.appaddress, or connect your own domain on a paid plan.
What it costs
You can start on the free plan: one app and 25 build credits a month, enough to try it properly. Paid plans start at 19 a month (Basic), shown in dollars, pounds or euros depending on where you are. See the plans. Taking real card payments needs a paid plan. Stripe charges its own card fees.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get paid?
You connect your own Stripe account and payments go straight into it. TypeAnApp doesn’t hold your money. Real payments need a paid plan.
Does it keep track of stock?
Yes. Each product has a stock count that goes down when it sells. At zero the product shows as sold out, so you don’t sell what you haven’t made yet.
Can I add products myself later?
Yes. You add and edit products from your app’s data pages, or ask in chat for an "add product" page for your shop.
Can I offer postage and collection?
Yes. Tell it your postage prices and whether people can collect, and it adds the choice to checkout.
Can it look like my brand?
Yes. Every site gets its own design, and you can change colours, fonts and pictures by chatting or with the theme editor.
